Welcome to moverglide, accessible via www.moverglide.com. These Terms of Service govern all business relationships, quotes, bookings, and moving coordination services provided by moverglide to clients within Germany and across the European Union.

By requesting a quote, submitting a booking inquiry, or engaging our services on www.moverglide.com, you agree to be bound by the terms set forth below in accordance with German commercial and civil legislation.

1. General Provisions and Merchant Identity

This website and all related services are operated by moverglide.

  • Brand Name: moverglide
  • Official Domain: www.moverglide.com
  • Customer Support Contact: service@moverglide.com
  • Registered Address: [Insert Your German Registered Address]
  • Telephone: [Insert Your German Phone Number]

These Terms of Service apply exclusively to all contracts entered into between moverglide and its clients. Any differing, conflicting, or supplementary customer terms shall only become part of the agreement if explicitly accepted by us in writing.

2. Nature of Service and One-Time Transaction Structure

moverglide provides professional residential moving, relocation coordination, and logistics facilitation services.

  • One-Time Purchase Model: All agreements entered into via www.moverglide.com are individual, fixed-term, one-time service transactions.
  • No Recurring Charges: We do not operate on a subscription, recurring billing, or ongoing membership model. Each booking represents a separate, standalone transaction tailored specifically to the confirmed move requirements.
  • Service Scope: The precise scope of logistics, inventory handling, transport coordination, and scheduling is defined individually within the formal quotation issued prior to order finalization.

3. Booking Process and Payment Terms

To maintain operational integrity and legal clarity, transactions follow a mandatory, structured validation sequence:

  • Inquiry and Quotation: Initial pricing displayed on service pages serves as an overview. Clients submit detailed inventory and relocation logistics via our inquiry form.
  • Merchant Confirmation: Our operations team evaluates the request and issues a binding, individual quotation specifying the required deposit and final balance. No payment is initiated prior to explicit merchant review and confirmation.
  • Deposit and Balance Payment: Upon client acceptance of the quotation, a initial deposit is collected to reserve operational capacity and schedule resources for the specified service date. The remaining balance is payable according to the clear schedule outlined in the confirmed quotation.
  • Pricing Currency: All financial figures are quoted and charged in Euros (€), including statutory Value Added Tax (VAT) where legally applicable.

4. Obligations of the Customer

To ensure proper execution of the agreed relocation service, the customer agrees to provide accurate and complete operational details prior to execution:

  • Accurate Information: The customer must provide correct address details, floor levels, elevator accessibility, and accurate inventory dimensions/volumes during the inquiry phase.
  • Site Preparation: The customer is responsible for securing adequate access routes, parking permissions, and ensuring items are properly prepared for handling on the scheduled service date, unless packing assistance has been formally included in the bespoke agreement.

5. Statutory Right of Withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht)

Consumers residing within the European Union are entitled to a statutory right of withdrawal under distance contract regulations.

  • Withdrawal Notice: Consumers may cancel their service booking within 14 days of contract conclusion without stating a reason by providing a clear written statement via email to service@moverglide.com.
  • Premature Expiry: In accordance with Section 356 paragraph 4 of the German Civil Code (BGB), the right of withdrawal expires prematurely if the moving services have been fully performed, provided performance began only after the consumer gave express prior consent and acknowledged that they lose their right of withdrawal once the contract has been fully fulfilled.

6. Service Adjustments and Cancellations

  • Cancellation by Customer: If a customer cancels a confirmed service outside the statutory withdrawal period or after performance has commenced, moverglide reserves the right to retain the initial booking deposit to cover incurred administrative costs, vehicle scheduling, and allocated resource reservations.
  • Rescheduling Requests: Requests to adjust service dates must be submitted in writing to service@moverglide.com at least 5 business days prior to the agreed execution date, subject to operational availability.

7. Statutory Liability and Warranty (Gewährleistung)

  • Service Diligence: moverglide undertakes to carry out all moving coordination and transport services with customary commercial care and professional diligence.
  • Statutory Rights: Statutory warranty and liability provisions under the German Civil Code (BGB) apply to all service contracts.
  • Limitation of Liability: Claims for damages are limited to intent and gross negligence, except in cases of injury to life, body, or health, or breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal duties). In the case of a breach of cardinal duties, liability is restricted to foreseeable, contractually typical damage.

8. Force Majeure

moverglide shall not be held responsible or liable for any failure or delay in performing its contractual obligations if such failure arises from events beyond our reasonable operational control. This includes, but is not limited to, severe acts of nature, extreme weather conditions, road closures, major traffic disruptions, regulatory restrictions, labor strikes, or public infrastructure emergencies.

9. Intellectual Property Protection

All contents, branding elements, graphics, site layouts, and written text published on www.moverglide.com are the exclusive property of moverglide or utilized under legitimate permission. Any unauthorized copying, distribution, or reproduction of website elements without prior written authorization from moverglide is strictly prohibited under German copyright legislation (UrhG).

10. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

  • Governing Law: All legal relations, service agreements, and disputes arising from or connected to the use of www.moverglide.com shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). For consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as protection is not withdrawn by mandatory provisions of the law of the state in which the consumer has their habitual residence.
  • Jurisdiction: If the customer is a commercial entity, a legal entity under public law, or has no general place of jurisdiction in Germany, the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract shall be the registered business location of moverglide.

11. Alternative Dispute Resolution

In compliance with European legal requirements, the European Commission provides an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform, accessible at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

moverglide prefers to resolve customer inquiries directly via service@moverglide.com and is neither obliged nor committed to participating in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
